Shooting at Howe Park Results in 4 People Shot in Sacramento's Arden-Arcade

Sacramento authorities are probing a gun violence incident that unfolded Saturday evening at Howe Community Park in the Arden-Arcade area while deputies were dissolving an unsanctioned gathering of a crowd of several hundred.

What Led to the Shooting

Deputies were first dispatched to the Arden-Arcade park at approximately 6:30 PM after learning of people potentially armed with concealed firearms. Following that, additional information came in regarding an alleged brawl happening near the park.

Aerial units conducted an aerial sweep but came back with no confirmation of a fight. Nevertheless, deputies found that several hundred individuals had assembled at the park without authorization.

The Shooting Itself
